the Once-ler is such a girl. and that's why he's such a great character. he's just really uber quirky, with his personality, facial expressions, guitar thing, and his girly tendencies.

I like how they changed his character. LOL People are so silly for getting angry that they changed him from being a pair of green arms to an actual person. Lol and there is definitely nothing unmanly about knitting. There are guys who wear make up and paint their nails and such as well. ^-^

Yeah, I agree - they actually gave him a personality whereas before he was just a creepy pair of arms. They made him a likeable kinda-villain so people should stfu~ xP

I totally dig guys with eye-liner and black nails... just sayin' xD so there's definitely nothing unmanly about knitting. Especially when it makes you rich and greedy and wear a sexy green suit.

Yes! 8D They made him relatable. :3 And indeed, very likable. They even gave the main villain role to another character. That was bold of them but it came out pretty good... story-wise and all. Plus, I think Seuss wanted him to be a slightly forgivable character as well in the original story.

So do I! lol My boyfriend even put eyeliner on for me once. x3 (He looked SO hot...) LOL Knitting *did* make him rich and greedy, huh? o_O When the green suit came out I was like 8o xD I found it more amusing than sexy... Maybe I need to get more used to it... xD I mean the shades were all sparkly and stuff. Loly.

Yep! I'm glad he was the redeemed character at the end, and I agree, I think that was Seuss's intentions for him as well. He wasn't truly bad, he just never realized what the consequences for his actions would be, and once he did, it was too late. It was so sad when he's just standing there after the last tree is cut and he watches his family and all his little forest friends leave him ;_; although I kind of chuckled when the Lorax grabbed his butt and floated away xD that killed the mood for me a bit.

WOOT! Lucky xD and meh, I have a thing about guys in suits/gloves, apparently xD and green is my favorite color~ o3o and he got all dark and slightly creepy at the end of the song sequence, so that right there pretty much did it for me. I was all "...Yep, aight, it's official. I'm a fangirl for this guy like, fo' real."

Lol. The Lorax grabbed his own butt and floated away in the original too. 8] I'm glad they didn't change that for something more 'acceptable' or 'modern'. That took some guts. Two teenaged girls sitting next to me in the theater were laughing at that. I get the feeling they only saw the film for Zac Efron. lol They kept laughing at everything Ted said.

Haha, really? I don't remember that, but I only saw the original cartoon in my high school environmental sciences class~ xP But that's true, something that strange and awkwardish is too tempting to change, but I'm glad they stuck with the original idea! And lol Zac Efron. He's kinda cute, but his voice seems pretty average to me >.> although Ed Helms' voice made me all "fwszrggf". THAT'S WHO THEY SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT FOR.
