I agree. I didn't like how they made him kinda squishy though where she was all '*beats on with bat*' ...if they could have taken 'strong freddy' from the first ending and mixed it with 'facially pretty freddy' I'd have been happy.

I'm a JEH fan too and I thought it was fascinating to see his actual expressions and features in the bedroom scene (turned it into something rather erotic O_o ) but then she tossed him out into reality and it's like for some reason the fight just kind of left him. That was a big 'boo' for me..a combination of the two endings would've been much more interesting. I think the 'Freddy Hair' also consequently shaves like 10 years off JEH...

I agree with you though. That's probably why they didn't use that scene for the movie. Too mild not enough menace. I think Freddy's hair is cute.. He does look a *little* younger now that you mention it. Maybe Freddy was in his 40's when he died?

Then later everyone wants to break up with us because we're not all american pretty boys that like to do 'normal' things like watch movies for the gratuitous sex appeal of some random blonde actress. I thought the bedroom scene was pretty intense pre-alternate ending but then when you see JEH in the wig leaning over her with that grin it's like 'I don't know if I should be cheering this on or watching my skin crawl off. I'm not allowed to watch movies with other human beings.
Perhaps, I mean they never really say how OLD Freddy was but I can't assume he was TERRIBLY aged. It just doesn't seem to fit the psychological profile.

Most of my exes started out with the same opinion, but somehow things like being upset/defensive of characters like Ronnie or Freddy becomes a huge turnoff for them. Lol.
I didn't root for Nancy at any point, I always voted pro-Jackie and therefore pro-Freddy. I suppose that's true, though Dave in Losin' It was fairly lustful... not in the same 'have you pinned to a bed' kind of way though. Mrr. Hot stuff.

Funny you should mention him because I LOVE Ronnie! He's my second fave JEH character. (After Rorschach, before Freddy.) I wish I could've been there for him after his mother died, I would've taken care of him.

Your lineup of JEH characters is pretty damned perfect, Rorschach, Ronnie, Freddy... that's my lineup too, with Dukes thrown in there somewhere for comic relief. All he did was EXPOSE himself which is not the same as touching! Poor Ronnie...I've noticed all the Little Children Fic on FF.Net has Ronnie in it but...all the good ones are unfinished (boo.).

Well to be fair you said 'lustful', not the same as passionate... if you'd said passionate Dave never would've made it into the mix. Dave isn't the best character but I still end up <3 him for Jackie alone. Damn that man's ability.

It's HILARITY I love it *lol* *is glomped* I know what you mean, I personally had to put my own college on hold in favor of work... 40+ hours a week makes for very little time for creativity. Sometimes I think college was worse though because you get that 'mental exhaustion' going and homework.
