Eh, I don't think I really get inspired, I just make stuff and if I like it enough it gets uploaded. Recently I've been making stuff I don't like so I'm changing everything up and making different stuff. In this case, glitch-esque stuff.
Soon enough I'll get back into the groove of things, making something new again. I think it's going to be more minimal, with really soft, pastel backgrounds. Like this -Β fav.me/d6dm1r8

Heh, I really need to get After Effects and check that out. I make mine on a few different programs, though it's primarily Audacity. I've recently come across a pixel-sorter that does fine work as well.
With Audacity, you open up a .bmp image, which is converted to audio. Then you add effects to that and get glitchy outcomes. See here -Β www.hellocatfood.com/databendi...
With the pixel sorter you just throw an image into it and out comes a sometimes-okay-looking new image. Find that here -Β github.com/julescarbon/sortpix...
Very occasionally I use 'The Wordpad Effect' which you can find a tutorial on here -Β blog.animalswithinanimals.com/...
Those are what I use for actual glitch art, but for stuff that looks like glitch art -Β Β and the top and bottom parts ofΒ Β - I use Photoshop to make it, Filter Forge to make it all squiggy, and Magic Bullet: Photolooks(I feel stuck-up just saying that) to give it a glitchy feel, like the shutter streaks, grainy-ness, and chromatic aberration(3D).

Eh, I might. I tend to switch up my style of art quite a bit, though. Minimalism has been more prominent lately, hence the abundance of minimalistic wallpapers. If I do I don't know if they will get done sooner rather than later. Plus I have no idea how I'd make Rarity's background, her mane doesn't really flow with the wind so I couldn't really work with it.
Though, in all honesty, Twilight, Applejack, and Pinkie also have the kind of mane that would be rather challenging to work with. On top of all that, I feel bad if I use vectors from the same artist too much, especially if they don't acknowledge my use of their work, which is what ~Rariedash has been doing. I feel like I'm stealing their work, adding on to it a bit, and claiming credit for all of it, even if I've given credit on both wallpapers.
As for the size, I would have made a 2560x1440 version by now, but the image of Rainbow Dash itself isn't big enough to work well with a version that big, let alone 2880x1800. I didn't even know that resolution existed to be completely honest!
So, unless ~Rariedash re-uploads his RD vector as a bigger size, say around 7830x3240, then I'd be completely willing to recreate this in those dimensions for you~
Also sorry for the length, I think I may like to talk more when I'm putting off going to bed.
