Description This here is an idea of a remake of a past Fire Emblem Game for Nintendo Switch.

How did it come to be?

Well, I've read that the creator of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia has had an interest in remaking Binding Blade and Blazing Blade. Meanwhile the Fanbase either want to see either a remake of the Elibe games or a remake of Genaology of the Holy War be made. And personally, I'm more on the latter. Also, as you might know, Blazing Blade was the first Fire Emblem game realeased internationally, both thanks to Advance Wars, and mainly, Roy and Marth's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but Binding Blade never made it outside Japan. People put their hands to translating Blinding Blade and improve its infamous difficulty spike. But people who have still yet to experience the adventure long for the day for it to be ported or remade. Enter Fire Emblem Echoes: The Elibian Chronicles.

What is this idea of a game?

Fire Emblem Echoes: The Elibian Chronicles (ファイヤーエムブレムエコーズ エレブの世代 (Fire Emblem Echoes: Ereb no Sedai) lit Fire Emblem Echoes: Generations of Elibe) is a tactical RPG and teoterical remake of 2002's Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, and its prequel, 2003's Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, made for the Nintendo Switch. It followes the events of the two games put in chronological order, albeit with some adjustments to make the games flow better, similar to 1996's Fire Emblem: Genaology of the Holy War.

What are the goals of this remake?

There are several hurdles to get over in order to make this remake a reality. Here is the list of the main goals:
  • Unite the Stories - The story of the games take place in Elibe, so it would make sense for the games to be connected with a 20 year time skip (Meaning that most story elements will be intact, with some changing to make the stories flow better). This means that Lyn will still have to stop Lundgren from ascending to the Caelin throne, Eliwood and company will still have to thwart Nergal and the Black Fang, and Roy and his group will still have to unite the Sacred Weapons in order to defeat Zephiel.) Because of the two generations within the games, all Binding Blade units that are children of Blazing Blade units are considered as child units. Here all that apply, with parents (possible and fixed alike):
  • Eliwood x (Ninian/Lyn/Flora/???) > Roy
  • Hector x (Farina/Florina/Lyn/???) > Lilina
  • Rebecca x (Wil/Sain/Lowen/???) > Wolt (By the way, Rebecca would be considered wounded and unfit for battle rather then dead in Classic Mode in this remake, fixing an oversight made by IS.)
  • Karla x (Barte/???) > Fir
  • Nino x (Jaffar/Erk/???) > Raigh and Lugh
  • Pent x Louise > Clarine and Klein
  • Rath x (Lyn/???) > Sue
  • Canas x ??? > Hugh
  • Hawkeye x ??? > Igrene
    • Note that "???" means that the other parent is unknown and that a selection between parentesis means that it is one of many outcomes.
  • Rebalance Operation - The original games weren't exactly perfect, heck, Binding Blade was considered difficult and unbalanced. The games will be rebalanced to avoid such cheap BS. (Meaning that units like Nino, Wil, Wallace and Sophis can actually be viable, while units like Marcus and Niles would be made a bit more fair.)
  • Access for All Players - Maybe what you guys need isn't a rebalanced roster. Maybe what you need is an easier difficulty. Well, have no fear. An easier Normal Difficulty is present in this idea of a remake. The GBA's old Normal and Hard difficulties are still here, but they are renamed Hard and Lunatic. And the option to play in either Casual Mode or Classic Mode is also here. For those looking for a real challenge, there's the new Abyssmal difficulty.
  • Be the Tactitan - Replacing Mark is a more customizable character: Max. Similar to Kris from Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem - Heroes of Light and Shadow, Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening, and Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates, you can change their gender, haircolor, accessories, body style, and even their voice. Certainly a step up from Bleyth from Fire Emblem Three Houses, which I can personally excuse, since it's IS's first Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch.
  • Bonus Content - Some bonus content I would like to introduce to this game include Paralouge Stories for each of the characters, a map editor, similar to the one from the Advance Wars games, DLC Maps, and even the return of the My Base feature from Fates.
  • Hope you like this concept. I own nothing except the custom box design, the logo and the idea of the remake.

As long as Roy doesn't take forever and an entirety just to promote, I am perfectly fine.
I'd have promote around the same time as everyone else.

In Three Houses, you could only select Blyeth's Gender.

It should deserve a remake, but Roy should be stronger than the original game.

I'd prefer it if they weren't shoved together. They have hefty casts and differentiating stories that they need to be their own remakes.
