Description
This is one of the new teams for the second original Pretty Cure series in the Omniverse Pretty Cure Extended Universe (or OPCEU for short.)

Synopsis

Many have heard of the stories of the Gentleman Theif known as Arsene Lupin. However, few know about the achievements of his wife, Alexandra Lupin (アレクサンドラ・ルパン), who was also an elegant Phantom Theif herself. Among her treasures, she had managed to obtain very power artifacts that would later become the Alexandra Collection (アレクサンドラ・コレクション). It is said that whoever was to obtain every piece of the Alexandra Collection would gain unlimited power. To avoid potential disaster, Alexandra sought the help of the fairy Lupina (ルパナ) to hide the artifacts in her homeworld of Kaisou Land (カイソウランド), in hopes that no one would retrieve them. Lupina agreed, and hid any pieces Alexandra gathered, safe from criminal hands. It wouldn't be like that forever, however, as later one, the notorious gang known as the Dark Pirates (闇海賊) came out of nowhere, ravaged the land, and stolen most of the Alexandra Collection. The only pieces that Lupina managed to safeguard were two of the four VS Cure Pendants (VSキュアペンダント) and a selection of Kaitou Tokens (怪盗トーケン). Before Lupina hid those pieces, Alexandra told her that in the event of an emergency, to bring those to two girls that would become the next Pretty Cure. Lupina went on and sought to find the girls. The girls would be two students of Kirisaki High School (霧崎高校, Kirisaki Koukou) in Sunlight Town (日光町, Nikkou-machi), those being Hiyama Kairi (桧山かいり) in red and Kirahoshi Touko (吉良星とうこ) in blue. The two together are Pretty Cure Kaitou Stars (ふたりはプリキュア怪盗スターズ).

Characters
Hiyama Kairi (桧山かいり) - Kairi is the main lead and younger of the duo. She's grown a fasination for phantom theives, people that steal from the rich from within the shadows and under various disguises. She and Touko even were succesful in their first ever heist as kids, being able to snag themselves a few candies from a high placed candy jar at the former's house. At the same time, she quite generous, as she often wants to give to those that are worse off than her. When she and Touko first met Lupina, she was told of the damaged that the Dark Pirates caused to Kaisou Land, and that their world would be next once they obtain every piece of the Alexandra Collection. Understanding how bad the people must've felt back in Kaisou Land, and not wanting them to complete the Alexandra Collection, she agreed to help, and later became Cure Rouge (キュアローグ). As Cure Rouge, she gains the (at this point, standard) Jump Boost and Power Boost, as well as two abilities; her unique ability of controlling nature to a minor degree, and the shared ability with Cure Sly of using smoke bombs and disguises. Her primary finisher is the Pretty Cure Phantom Rose (プリキュアファントムロース), in which a giant rose grows and launches them upwards before throned vines strike at the enemy.
Kirahoshi Touko (吉良星とうこ) - Touko is the older of the duo. She is quite a sneaky prankster, as she sets up some traps for her victims, while not being noticed. She can also craft nifty disractions, as evident in her and Kairi's first heist. She is also quite honest when needed to be, as she knows that lying is frown upon. When she and Kairi first met Lupina, she was told of the damaged that the Dark Pirates caused to Kaisou Land, and that their world would be next once they obtain every piece of the Alexandra Collection. Understanding how bad the people must've felt back in Kaisou Land, and not wanting them to complete the Alexandra Collection, she agreed to help, and later became Cure Sly (キュアスライ). As Cure Sly, she gains the standard boosts, as well as the unique ability of creating clones of herself, and the shared ability with Cure Rouge of using smoke bombs and disguises. Her primary finisher is the Pretty Cure Phantom Rush (プリキュアファントムラッシュ), in which four of her clones rapidly attack the enemy before the real one finishes them off with an upward kick.
