Like for example superman's enemy Doomsday Β , he had death adaption which means if you 'killed' him, he would come back you couldn't kill him the same twice. And he got so freaking powerful, that the only way they could get rid of him permanently, was to send him to the end of time where absolutely nothing could exist.
