Velvet Sparkle: The matriarch of the Sparkle family, Velvet was raised in Canterlot. She was raised to be the picture perfect unicorn. Her family name weighs heavy on her shoulders, so she pushes her children the same way her parents pushed her when she was young. She was the youngest ever to graduate Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, the leader of the PTA, and a stellar spell caster. She never meant for her expectations to feel so out of reach. But her image must be perfect.

Night Light: Night Light adores his family, despite their high-stress life style. His wife pushes their children because she loves them, but he sometimes has to remind her pushing them to succeed can just as easily push them away. He grew up raised by his mother, Star Light, and eventually made his money when he discovered the vaccine for mad-cow-pox. He tries his best to show his children money and image aren't everything. He just wants his family to be happy.

Princess Mi Amore Cadenza: Also known as Cadence, she is the lone member of the Amore family. Her mother made her from love and hope, and upon an uprising in the Crystal Empire, she was sent to live with her Aunts in Canterlot. There, she met the Sparkle Family. She started as a foal-sitter and eventually married Shining Armor. They live together in Canterlot with their son.

Shining Armor: The eldest child of the Sparkles. He joined the royal guard the first chance he got, hoping that it would provide the future his mother wanted for him so desperately. He made history when he became the youngest Captain of the Royal Guard. Shortly after, he married his long time fiancé, Cadence. He now works as a consultant for Empress Nightmare Moon, living in Canterlot with his wife and son.

King Sombra Storm: The leader of a rebellion in the Crystal Empire a millennia ago, Sombra is now the King of the Empire. Nightmare Moon is not a force he would take on lightly, so he agrees to a truce. While he and his empire are left alone, Nightmares little pony Twilight is allowed to come and go as she pleases. At first, he hates her. She is pompous and arrogant. But when she leaves, he finds it harder and harder to sleep or eat or breath without thinking of her. On one of her meant research trips, he finally realizes that this terrible feeling is love. They eventually marry and have a daughter.

Twilight Northstar Sparkle: The only daughter of the Sparkle family. She is highly ranked in The Court of the Moon and Stars, and in all honesty is the only reason her family still has pull in Canterlot. She will deny it of course, insisting it’s all her mother. She is incredibly intelligent and specializes in the study of magic. She eventually marries both Sombra and Tempest. She has a daughter with each of her spouses and Spike, her son.

Prince Golden Heart: Born a Pegasus, the prince takes after his mother. But in temperament and skill, it’s all his father. Golden Heart is a skilled fighter and an intense trainer. When he is old enough, he joins the guard of Princess Midnight Idol. They are rarely seen apart, as he is tasked with keeping up with her and her trips to Empress Knows Where to preform archeological studies.

Swift Storm: The youngest of her siblings, Swift is an athlete. She races, throws, catches, bats, punts, and Ila knows what else. She is extroverted and family oriented. She even cuts and styles her hair to mimic the style of her brothers spikes. She’s known for being bruised and scrappy, eventually finding her way onto the guard of Princess Midnight Idol. Her and her cousin frequently but heads over the best course of action when it comes to the princess, but she's usually the one who's right.

Pendragon “Spike” Sparkle: Spike is Twilight's first and only son. He grew up with her in a sense, having hatched when she was only 16. She gave him the name Pendragon, after the old sword in the stone mythos. He loves Twilight more than almost anything. He is the oldest of his siblings, and thus feels the need to teach them all he knows. Like how to sneak out of the house, and how Tempest is the most likely to cover for them if they're caught. He is protective of his family, especially around his grandmother... and other dragons. As an adult, Spike acts as a research assistant to Princess Midnight Idol.

Starlight Shield: Starlight loves the sky. She loves to map the stars and follow their mythology. She loves when her mother makes massive storms with her magic, and when her mom tells her the stories of Empress Aura placing the stars. She frequently wishes she was able to fly, so she could go and see the sky up close. You can almost always find her looking through a telescope or cloud gazing. When she grows up, she goes on to be work with the Court of the Moon and Stars as an astronomer.

The Sparkle Family! Introducing their next gens makes me super excited. I love how cute they are! I do have to admit that Golden Heart was my favorite to design.

Also! For Twilight's children, Twilight is mom, Tempest is Mother, and Sombra is dad or father. Twilight is married to both Tempest and Sombra, but make no mistake Sombra and Tempest are not involved. Tempest is lesbian, and Sombra is straight.
