Description
As the light fades, cracks appear all over his body.Soon, he will shrug off his stone blanket and rise into the night.
This one happened a lot faster than my usual fantasy chops, but I rather like it. The animals used to bring the statue alive was a bat, armadillo, monkey, goat and vulture.

Edit: I finally fixed the beak. It was always too shiny and blurry compared to the rest.

Extremely realistic piece of art. Very skilled blending of choice animals/parts. I love how fully you have realized the anatomy and textures of the creature underneath. And the color, both in the figure/foreground and background, is incredible. Looks like this gy is perched over somewhere in Italy.
This picture brings back awesome geeky memories for me, regarding each time a gargoyle broke out of its stone-skin.
