“JonJonJonJonJOOOON!!! Lookit what we found!”

The gruff man blew a smoke ring and cocked an eyebrow, tapping his cigarette against his new leaning-place. Granted, that freaky-ass tree still gave him the creeps, and the angel statue a few yards away was far from comforting, but at least Veronica wasn't there to bitch at him. “What're you on about, Il...li?” He looked the lanky woman over, blinking twice before accepting what he saw. “Well, first a sorcerer's robe, and now a little Catholic school-girl uniform. Your sister must be so proud.”

A look of confusion flickered across her face, and the woman pulled a long hand through her hair. “What do you--”

“Hello!” Eli popped out from behind her sister, her face seemingly transfixed in a an uncharacteristically childish smile. Illi’s confusion vanished, replaced with the same beatific grin.

Jon sighed, shook his head, and stomped out his cigarette, grinding it vindictively into the dirt. “This had better be some kind of joke, because there's no way in hell you're getting me into one of those.”

“Noooooo...” Illi held up a tiny envelope with a heart seal on the back. “We just thought you'd like to hear the latest news on who's togeeether.”

“Illi, stop it!” Her sister gave her a tiny shove, “You know that it hasn't been proven, yet!” She turned as Jon, with deliberate steps, made his way across the lawn, away from the ladies. “See, you scared him away!”

Jon could practically smell it in the air. Even as he walked, the world around him changed. Everything from the sweetness of the air to the brightness of the sun... even the grass seemed greener.

He passed Barlow, who seemed a bit dazed and distracted as he held a pair of hedge-trimmers, watching the greenery grow out of his control.

“Hey...” he grabbed the dwarf's shoulder and gestured around as a bush of roses grew up next to them, blooming and adding their scent to the scene, “is this normal?”

Barlow grimaced a bit and proceeded to trim the bush until it looked more rounded. “No... not really.”

“Am I going insane?”

“Probably. But if you are, you're not alone.” Barlow looked up at the impossibly clear sky and sighed. “Though, I doubt anyone is going to be alone, today.” With his cryptic message, the dwarf handed Jon a note, much like the twins had tried to hand him, and with a final parting of, “Don't get caught up too far in this,” he left.

Jon took in the scene floating into place around him. Strange couples meandered around the ground, some hand in hand, others looking for a place to spread a blanket and enjoy the sunlight. Such a tender, oppressive atmosphere.

He looked at the stationary in his hands and sniffed it, the comfortable smell of vanilla and lavender wafting off of the paper. He tentatively thumbed the seal open and there, on the inside of the cover, flowing, cursive words slid into his vision.

Factors

The grounds are open to everyone. Expect to see and even greet multiple other characters.
Your mission is to retrieve one page per competitor-character! Have fun trying to figure that out!
However many couples or gifts you have is up to you! However, you must stick with one prompt. You and your opponent do not have to choose the same prompt.
There is one month between each round. Your character’s sustained injuries should be leaning towards healed.
Anyone can write spectator entries! Go nuts!

Gift: Apparently, due to some heavily forced plot development, it is time to share some love! Get your opponent to accept a gift from you without accepting their gift in return. If you can complete this task, Jon will return your troubles with one of your pages.
A ‘gift can mean any one of three things;
You may give a true gift in a normal, gift-like fashion. For example, a box of chocolates might be wrapped and hand-delivered.
You may give a non-gift like object in a gift-like fashion, such as poison in a pretty paper package.
You may give a gift-like object in a non-gift-like fashion. A rose tied to a throwing knife that is put through your opponent’s eye or heart would be a valid example.
Jon is a neutral party on standby. He will be watching your round carefully. He’s not too happy to be here, so play nice, kids.
Veronica will be snarky from a distance. She will be there specifically to mock both contestants and Jon.

Fan-Fiction: No-mance: Of course, most love just doesn’t last forever, does it? Treat your character and your opponent’s character as a widely-accepted canonical OTP and then tear it to shreds.
You can do this through any means; from cliched breakup stereotypes to… something new. But either way, your character will find their page as they suffer through their heartbreak. We’re sure it will be most delightful.
Remember this: Eli and Illi fully support your relationship. They’re liable to brag about you to their friends (judges) saying how adorable they think you are. Though, they will not admit to the large stash of fan art they keep of the two of you. They ship it. So hard.
Barlow, on the other hand, is apprehensive. He’s not sure you’ll make it in a serious relationship. In spite of this, he is a supporting friend, and is willing to help from a distance, if he can.

Well... She just wants to see the world burn. Don’t mind her. She’s not really into the whole love and romance thing. Ever. At all.

In Any Case
Your character will receive the same letter with pretty stationary under the door of their house with a picture of their opponent. How they react is up to you. They do not receive the prompt itself.

This is for all who are interested in having a bit of fun! So now that we don’t have to worry about an airstrike coming from Legs anymore (we hope...). The town is open and ready to host former contestants. Current contestants, after finishing the current round at hand, can also enjoy the shenanigans and take a trek down into the town! Even NPCs can step up and take the spotlight without fear.

Soap Opera: Make an episode of a soap opera! You must incorporate as many other characters into a mad family tree (must include one judge just as a bribe).
