When I first saw the Disney contest for villainess I was really excited. Villains were always more appealing to me. What makes them eerie and evil usually has an intriguing backstory. Ursula always fascinated me because of her ability to charm people into taking her potions. She has a charisma that allows her to get what she wants. She conniving and cunning and has a lot of personality. For this piece I wanted to capture her personality, in her expression, in what she’s doing, in the environment. Make it a mix between something beautiful and creepy.
