Great framing of this photo, and I really like how the colour stands out as well. The background almost looks desaturated as it is, which really adds to this effect, similar to when people take all of the colour out of a photo expect for "the reds" or "the greens" for example, or leave only one object still in colour to give it extra focus. Fortunately your photo created this naturally. Certainly more worthy of a deviation than a scrap, but I know you had to choose either the B&W or this one as the main deviation, while making the other the alternate. Good choice. I do like them both quite a lot though.

THank you, Im glad you like them . I like the effect of this one as well, its nice to know that fog thick as pea soup is at least good for a photographic backdrop

Ahh... St. John's fog... I can't get enough of the stuff
Seriously though it sucks for enjoying the outdoors, but makes for nice lighting for photos.
The color in the foreground really stands out against the washed out foggy background, nice capture.

Thank you very much. I wasn't sure which one to submit as my deviation and which one to scrap, the color or the B&W as I liked them both. I desaturated it to give it a more gloomy feel, but I also like how the colors stand out against the fog, that's why I submitted them both I'm glad that you like it
