Oh my gosh! That is gorgeous!
I could sit there with a pen and notebook and just doodle there all day long.
It feels like a very calm spot.

Thank you so much, Rowan.
You, your camera and all of your art supplies, are most welcome on any of my jaunts!
It is more peaceful there than I can ever truly express.

Somehow I imagined so. Never fear I'd help you carry it.
Thanks for accepting the invitation.

Thank you so much for the , Diane. I appreciate it!
That blue was beyond amazing; the photograph doesn't really translate what it was like out there...but I imagine you know, having lived in the desert yourself.

I wish more people could experience it (gently, with respect)...perhaps they'd join the struggle to preserve it.
My pleasure, glad you've enjoyed it.

*sigh* All these shots of the Joshua Tree National Park are bringing on a fit of nostalgia -- I miss the stark beauty of the desert . . . but I surely do not miss the heat
Lovely series of photos you've got here.

I miss it too. The last time we entered the Park I began to sob, I was that elated to be back. You were tremendously lucky to call it home, but as we've commiserated over: the heat is formidable!!!
Thank you so much, Cassandra. More to come.

I always love shots like this. And in this one it seems to be made up of only a handful of rich colors. That log in the foreground is a great feature.

Thank you. I took a great many shots to get this one. I love the color palette in the desert; the way it changes with the light is sublime.
