It all started because I've been eating a lot of PB & J sandwiches. Not because I'm poor or on a diet or anything, but I happen to like them!
So while I was watching Shippuuden, I thought, "Hmm, I wonder if Gaara likes peanut butter and jelly. I bet that was the extent of fatherly love he got as a kid." Yes, most of my comics come from such random thoughts! There's absolutely no mystery to the process at all! 
So, because I can't do the Sand Sibs in my "Konoha Dads Are Bad" series, I figured I could show their crap-a-kage father in a Sand Sibs episode . . . and meanwhile, enjoy a little bit of Kankurou abuse!
But this one kind of ended happily! Just keep telling yourself it's crunchy peanut butter, kitty boy . . .All digital in PS Elements

do u do those panels all in one fiile? or save them differently and put them together?

I have the empty frames as one file, then I draw all the scenes on one sheet in my drawing pad. I then scan them in, adjust the contrast and clean, then cut and paste the frames into the empty comic. After that, I letter with the text tool in PS Elements. Let me know if you have other questions!

It actually doesn't take very much time to do a simple gif animation if you're not trying to do too much. I just use layers in PS Elements to do it, so it's easy for me to make changes from shot to shot. It's about time for me to make a new one though ... although kitty Kankurou always makes me smile!

Poor Kankuro... At least the "crap-a-kage" as you so aptly put it could have picked the visible insects and the band-aid off of it... Sand wouldn't be that big of a deal for where they live... The song is adoreable! Especially when Garra sings it!
