I get the feeling that Team Gai will be difficult too because it will be hard to draw Lee with his round eyes and eyelashes in a more realistic style . . . but I love a good challenge! From what I've seen of Choji in the comics following the timeskip, he does lose a lot of the fat. He's not pencil-thin, but he apparently hasn't been spending all his time with the munchie bag either. He even looks more like his dad, and considering the jutsu he inherited, there may well be some training he's undertaken that keeps his fat under control (if you've been looking, there was a panel from a fight with one of Orochimaru's henchmen with some translated dialogue).

One of those things that tends to become confusing about the world Kishimoto set up for Naruto is a combination of traditional Japanese and modern settings and clothing styles being used. I get the impression that this is a sort of "post-Apocalyptic future" where ancient ninjutsu skills have been revived by the hidden villages in the midst of a sort of regression back to the feudalistic Asian society of centuries past, but with some technologies (refrigeration, electronic communications, computers) still being functional. Perhaps the ninjas did away with automobiles because of their other method of travel -- tree-hopping using their chakra for extra speed or distance. Otherwise, I'm almost believing the one or two parodies which feature a Naruto character driving a car...

A decent portrayal of Team X nonetheless, giving them a more modern look than what they're given in Kishimoto's manga. When you have people in pants and jumpsuits coexisting with feudal lords in traditional robes and hats, one gets the impression that the open-toed shoes and sandals seem out of place. That's why I look at Naruto and think "ninja-punk".
