Well, I decided to go ahead and tackle the rest of the teams, black & white style. With a dash of punk.
I love Team 10, and the X is because the Roman numeral for 10 is X. Yeah, I know . . . maybe I'm cheesy . . . but hey! Unless you're lactose-intolerant, I think you'll survive . . . 
Oh, well, come to think of it . . . maybe Team X is REALLY Team (Se)X . . . ah . . . yeah, I definitely think they're hot . . . especially Shikamaru . . .
And please don't tell me I didn't make Chouji fat enough! I'll draw him any way I want, dammit! 
Still, I hope you all feel I did this team justice . . .ballpoint sketch

You've put a lot of thought into this. I love it.
Really, I would have loved to see Team 10 do more actual fighting. I love Shikamaru, but aside from Chouji's fight in the Sasuke retrieval arc and the fights and confrontations during the chuunin exams, there has been little in the way of Team 10 showing off their skills. And they must have them, right? Otherwise the three of them wouldn't have been picked to be members of the Niju Shotai . . . I think the only team that's been more neglected is Team 8 . . . sad, really . . .
What I love about Naruto is how easily I can accept the anachronisms of Kishimoto's modern ninja world. I tend to focus on the modern aspect of it because feudal Japan was not the friendliest of times or places to be, even if you were a daimyo. I've read a little too much history to romanticize it! And it certainly wasn't as egalitarian as Naruto, though I'd love it if there were a few more significant female characters--and certainly not for romantic interest! I like your idea about a post-Apocalyptic future . . . that's definitely worth exploring. And I think I've seen a few fanarts with the genin in cars or at drive-ins, but I probably won't be doing it! However, disco balls, lava lamps, and shag carpeting . . . yeaaah . . .
