Romeo was excited to finally ride Erzi in a competition. Over the last months they had trained and spent time with each other a lot and made progress. Sure, gaining Erzi's approval was still a daily struggle but today the stallion seemed to be in a good mood. Perhaps he recognised the surroundings and appreciated all the fancy buildings. While tacking up he behaved extraordinarily well. Considering the unusual dark tack and bit which he both didn't approve of. It was almost too good to be true. And just as expected he behaved more like the young and arrogant stallion he was in the warm-up area. Romeo honestly got more and more concerned, almost praying he wouldn't behave like that during the actual kur. Surprisingly he calmed down as soon as they entered the arena. No... no, he wasn't calm. Quite the contrary. Erzherzog nearly shivered and excitedly turned his ears in all directions to really take in the entire scenery. With the first step Romeo knew they would be okay because the stallion didn't only follow his commands effortlessly but also put more bounce into his movemets. You're such a showoff, he thought amusedly and loved his horse even more for that. He too straightened his back a little more and let a dashing smile appear on his face. Perhaps he was a bit of a showoff himself~ (not only a bit lmao)

Super happy to let them perform together in such a gorgeous setting. I'm excited to see how they will place in the end. Competition is strong there XD

I also want to explain the dark tack and bit part lmao
Usually Romeo rides Erzi bitless and with a light brown leather but the regulations for this event made it impossible to please Erzi, so he's lowkey pissed LOL Good thing his desire to show off is still stronger, therefore he managed to behave XD
