I drew this OC over a year ago and found inspiration to draw her again. This time around, I decided to name her Inari.

Her design has changed a little, and so has her backstory. I'm hoping that maybe one day I could write a novel revolving around it because there's so much to Inari. From the first drawing, I had the idea that the ball attached to her earing spun when danger was nearby, but that has since changed. I did some research on the Japanese folklore of fox demons and have come to find out that fox demons will carry a jewel with them. In some folklore the jewel represents their soul and contains their powers when in human form. I have decided that is what that little jewel on Inair's earing is. Her illusions, or "magic", are the same from last time, but I decided to add in that she can posses people, another folktale I learned pertaining to fox demon powers.

I find it funny that I drew a winter setting despite it turning spring where I'm at. Side note, anyone ever look at the word "fox" and think to themselves it shouldn't be spelled like that? Because I just thought of that, like it shouldn't be a word or something.
