Phew… Drawing is hard. Honestly, I’m not sure how any of you people do it. I’ve recently been gifted a Digital Arts tablet. However, I’d like to at least learn to sketch before I take on the giant world of Digital Art. For a first try, this isn’t great. The neck is too long, the hands are weird, and basically everything is a bit misshapen. But this is something I’d like to get good at – so if anyone has any tips, suggestions, or resources I can use to get better I would greatly appreciate it. I’ll continue to post pictures here and, with any luck, my drawing skills will improve. I intend to include a short story with each picture so I’ll post that below. Any suggestions as to what I should draw are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Try not to be too harsh hahaa

Kate had always been a very shy girl. She preferred to keep to herself and always hated when attention was drawn to her. That’s why, when her parents moved and she had to attend a new school, she had trouble making any new friends. She was constantly teased by the “popular” girls for simple things like the way she dressed or did her hair. One day she was walking through the hall and noticed a flyer for cheerleader try-outs. This was Kate’s big chance! If she could make the team she’d finally be one of the popular girls. Kate practiced for days before mustering up the courage to show up at tryouts. Unfortunately, upon seeing Kate at the tryouts, the other cheerleaders set up a routine that she’d never be able to accomplish. After a series of difficult stunts, Kate was thrown into the air and came crashing down with her arms crushed beneath her. Kate was quickly rushed to the Nurse's office. After using up all of her sick days she returned to school a week later with some unfortunate new additions – two long arm casts held firmly in the air by metal bars, a huge soft collar neck brace, and worst of all… headgear. Kate’s bulky casts and nerdy headgear quickly made her the laughing stock of the school. In her current state Kate is completely helpless – she can’t feed herself, use the bathroom, or navigate the busy halls with her plastered arms held up firmly by her sides. Worst of all, classmates have recently given her a new nickname – “Goalpost”.
