Can u tell I had way too much fun drawing Vivian because I had WAY TOO MUCH FUN DRAWING VIVIAN.Anyway summary:
Birdo, in the original game manual, was described as a "man who wished he was a woman." She has been referred to as female in every appearance since, (I THINK???).
Vivian, in the original Japanese version of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, is bullied by her sisters about being a man who acted overly feminine. Once she joins Mario's gang, she is only referred to as female pronouns!
