Description

Carla had a fight on her hands and her experience told her she needed to stem the tide and she did exactly that.   Rather than tough out the blow she found her ‘bicycle’ and kept the onrushing Hana at bay long enough to get her bearings back.

She played defense and enough hand fighting to keep out of trouble long enough to find a crack in Hana’s own defenses and she exploited it.   Hana got a bit too aggressive and left herself open for Carla to shoot her legs and take her to the mat. From there Carla rode her long enough to tire the brunette out a bit. When they rose Carla smashed her with a clothesline, before following that up with a perfect dropkick right to the chops of the rising Hana.

Carla wasted no time bringing the woozy Hana up before sliding in behind her and German Suplexing her over, planting her shoulders to the mat.   Carla’s bridge was more than enough to keep Hana down while Elizabeth counted the three.

“The winner by pinfall,” Elizabeth stated while raising Carla’s arm “Carla ‘The Apprentice’ Weber!”

Carla smiled and the moniker, a reference to her tutelage under Stephanie, but loved it just the same.

Anyone looking at the record of this fight seeing Carla had one might not be surprised given the information on paper, but Carla knew this had been a big one. She came from behind to win one she should win and that would be a supreme confidence builder going forward.
