Janie had always gotten things to go her way. She grew up the daughter of a lawyer and a commercial realtor, money was never an issue. When she was 16, a new car showed in the driveway for her. She had a way of getting the boys to do her bidding in high school. Her choice of dates whenever she needed one. College was whichever one she really wanted to choose. She picked a high end business school where she met her future husband. She was no dummy but he was special. He was on the fast track to business glory. He had a knack for making money in the financial industry. Big money. The youngest VP at the company. She rode his coattails and loved it. She barely had to work, but to keep herself occupied she would consult from time to time. There was little money in it for her as she never really tried hard to make any. He was a cash cow and she was glad to be arm candy when needed. From time to time though he had to send her a message to go contribute to society and not just fill her closets. His most recent message was to revoke her personal trainer and send her, not to her exclusive club but a less intriguing option The James St Gym. He hoped she’d figure out quickly that with responsibility and hard work comes luxury.

His idea hadn’t paid off this time as she actually enjoyed that particular place. She said there was something there she’d never been a part of, a working class atmosphere. The women there weren’t always trying to one up each other with the newest hairstyle or a secret tummy tuck or a high end outfit. It was an interesting social group and Janie liked listening to their stories. Then this wrestling tournament showed up and Janie, arrogantly as it turned out, thought that her toned body and looks would win her matches.

It had turned out to be a disaster. She knew little about how to defend herself and her confidence quickly was shot. She was losing every match to what she was convinced were lesser girls. She pleaded with her husband to get her the best trainer he could find. He did some asking around and found just the person needed.

Janie’s trainer, Kimiko, had humiliated her in their very first meeting at her house. If her confidence was shot before it was zero now. The losses piled up and the training wasn’t much better. Each session at Kimiko’s dojo had her worked over not only by Kimiko but others from the dojo as well. Janie didn’t understand it at all until finally a newer ‘apprentice’ showed at the gym. Suddenly all the hard lessons she had taken, she was able to demonstrate on the new girl. The spars had begun to go her way and the confidence had begun to rebuild. She was even able to be part of the group the ‘trained’ the new girls. That is punish them to break them down to rebuild them as it had been done to Janie.

Janie was loving her new self and that was carrying over to her relationship at home. Her husband was beginning to see a stronger more confident woman.

She even got her first win in her last match at the James Street tournament. It was against the lesser Holly but it was a victory she should have gotten and she did. Mistress Kimiko was training a winner.

In the Fight For The Gym Janie lost via submission to a more experienced Tyler but she had given a good account of herself. When the battle ended Kimiko had entered the ring and Janie feared a verbal lashing. Instead she got praise and respect. And nothing from her ‘friends’ at the gym. Janie knew now it was time to leave the James Street Gym behind. Her loyalties now ran with Kimiko and she intended to prove that to her trainer, one way or the other.

In Round 1 of the JSG tournament to crown a champion her new skills and confidence were on full display as she took apart a capable Camille LaVigne, sending her to sleep mercilessly in her newfound finishing move.

Her poor record led to a falling out with Kimiko and a brutal break of their 'friendship' and ending her relationship with the dojo leaving her in a bit of no man's land.

Janie's League matches have been a mixed bag. Her week 2 loss to Laura O'Brien, via DQ, shook her. She got pounded by the redhead as sort of retribution. It lead her to losing her next 2 matches fairly convincingly. However, a newfound friendship with Amalie Townley and Jessica Barker have sparked her confidence back to where it was, bordering on arrogant.
