Description
"OMG, you're wasting your life!""How could you do this? ___ didn't do anything to you!"
"OMG, I'm ANTI-anti! No more hate! SCREW YOU!"
"You didn't have to make an Anti Group! >:U"
Get over it! Anti Groups aren't out to kill people! They just have different views than you. What are you, five?
Seriously though. People need to get over themselves. You are NO LONGER in Pre-K or Kindergarten where the mere subject of hatred is a no-no word and makes darkness take over the world and fuel the boogie monster. Especially if it's a hate group over something fictional. No one is wasting time, we all have lives, and we all have different opinions.
Anti Groups are around for good reasons. Just as you like something, someone else SOMEWHERE is bound to dislike it and you are wrong for lashing out at them or even thinking of complaining to them just because they made a club/group/whatever to meet others who share the same opinion.
Also, that "Don't like? Don't look!" clichΓ© is not only stupid, but is illogical. It has NO logic to it whatsoever. How could you know whether or not you like something unless you see it? You also shouldn't complain if someone comments on something you like saying they don't like it. Don't block them, flag their comment, or even HIDE the comment. They aren't doing anything by saying their dislike of something. They have a right to. Don't make a fool of yourself. It won't be good on you.
Another thing, if someone says something is against the rules, please listen to them. DON'T put stuff back up that was removed and do NOT retaliate against a person for telling you the site's rules. Just listen to them. ESPECIALLY if they link you to actual FAQ links about the matter. Oh, and just because you see a bunch of other people doing something, it doesn't mean it's okay!!!
My example would be this: www.deviantart.com/?thumb_mode⦠Stuuuuuuuuupid. STUPID, STUPID, STUUUUUUUUPID. You can't just go and do that! Just because you see those pics still up for others, doesn't mean it's okay. There's only a handful of staff on this site that deals with violations such as that. To put it simply, there are WAAAAAY more members on this site than admins, so it's only a matter of time before you get hit. So why not MAKE the motivational posters with YOUR art? Hmmmm? It's better that way!
Hatred isn't a bad thing unless directed in a way that personally attacks someone for real. It isn't terrible because it is simply a STRONG dislike of something, but when it gets out of hand is when it's bad. These Anti Groups aren't out of hand. They just have strong opinions. That's a good thing. It's best not to bottle up your emotions or opinions because how will you find another who shares a common interest? Hatred is good because EVERYTHING is entitled to hatred as well as love. We're in an imperfect world, so get use to it.
End of long description.
-PS: I will be updating this stamp to make it more readable and stuff. Plus I'm going to try to improve the template.

Well said, I agree. People who see a hate group and actually get offended enough to try and get the group taken down need to get off of the computer.

I agree as well. The world is based on opinion, and the whole reason the world works is because we're all different. We have different lives, thoughts, preferences, and the like. Just by saying, "You don't have the right to hate on topic A and B" you are infringing on someone's rights. No matter where they're from.
So I say shut the hell up and understand that people will not always like what you like and will NOT change to appeal to you. And there will always be someone who hates you for few or no reasons.
Hey, I like My Little Pony: FiM. Do I care that a LOT of people don't like it or absolutely hate it? Nope. Because the people I care about support that I like what I like. Even if they don't like MLP. Love and tolerance, people. Love and tolerance. Same with Pokemon, anime, cooking shows, reality TV (not like, girly shows, but Operation Repo and Pawn Stars to name a couple), video games, certain movies, etc.
Our opinions are what make us unique. If we all had the same interests there would be no debates or even a chance to change one's mind.
Sorry I got wordy, but I had a lot to say on the matter.

I agree. Plus, anti groups are more fun and tend to be nicer than fan groups. Trust me, I was in some and if you're the person that said an opinion going against something in the group, prepare for a shit storm. People these days tend to have a problem with opinions than people back then. Probably because of social media helping them with that (ie the internet).

Everybody has a right to their own opinion, whether you like it or not, so PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES, PEOPLE! Even if you don't allow it, people are still going to have their own opinions anyway, so you might as well look at all Anti-groups and take them with an open mind and a grain of salt.
Sorry, 1LoveDrew, that wasn't against you...that was against all others who are against your opinion...though I'm sort of contradicting myself here, I guess...

Anti-groups are hate groups. Hatred is a terrible thing for people and has no benefits at all. It is pointless to dwell on it, unless you enjoy suffering. I do not hate anti-groups or the people in them, I simply feel sorry for them.

Don't feel sorry for them. As long as it doesn't pertain to actual people that they're hating, it isn't a terrible thing. It's actually a good thing to voice an opinion.

Kelsey-Kat In reply to OneLoveDrew [2012-07-21 21:23:33 +0000 UTC]
Actually, you are wrong. From a psychological perspective, hatred of anything inhibits chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine from being released which makes people feel very depressed, angry, and uncaring. Voicing opinions of hatred reinforce these feelings and make them more powerful, whereas redirectional techniques such as focusing on things you like helps to reinforce logos feelings and get rid of negative ones. I do feel sorry for them because they are willfully making themselves and others feel bad because they were not educated on basic psychology.

Distance-Diz In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-07-21 22:27:44 +0000 UTC]
I think you both have some valid points actually, if you let hatred become a dominant trait in your personality it can effect the chemical balance in your brain however if you try to bottle up these feelings in an attempt to not have them you can just as easily cause drastic effects on the vary same chemical balance mentioned before. It is okay to disagree or even not like something entirely but it is not okay to let that hatred become so strong that it becomes a general part of your personality. I don't care for the word "hate" personally I prefer the word "distaste" because it means to feel aversion to which seems far less intense than hatred.
Now for someone who claims to feel sorry for hate/anti groups I find it strange that you even bother with continuing to debate over the term "hate" with another deviant. I believe you should focus on things with a more positive light although please understand I mean that only as a friendly suggestion.

I feel as though informing people is the most positive experience I can have, but thank you. And actually, bottling up hatred does usually diminish it rather than make it stronger, though the best way to deal with it is redirection.

Distance-Diz In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-07-21 22:52:03 +0000 UTC]
Well whatever floats your boat I suppose.
I've seen a few individuals that would disprove that assessment however because I find bottling negative feelings up can lead to increased stress, anxiety, heart attack, and even stroke. I try to encourage them to talk about it or to focus it on say a punching bag. I find these methods usually help people to deal with a lot of problems that they experience with everyday life. I can't say I don't enjoy comparing notes with someone else who shares an interest in psychology.

Kelsey-Kat In reply to Distance-Diz [2012-07-21 23:00:54 +0000 UTC]
In most of my research I find people have a much better chance at long term happiness with simple redirection. Methods that 'release' hatred, in my experience, simply lead to a short-term 'high' which reinforces the hatred long-term.

Distance-Diz In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-07-21 23:28:18 +0000 UTC]
I find that by talking to people about their problems and by helping them work out their problems they can deal with most if not all their frustrations. Hatred is just another problem that when people come to terms with they can work to deal with. I don't see it as a short term high but as more as a potential long term solution.

Kelsey-Kat In reply to Distance-Diz [2012-07-21 23:36:42 +0000 UTC]
I suppose it depends on what you mean by releasing it, in places like therapy and such working through hatred is great. However 'venting' your hatred is different than understanding it is harmful and attempting to work past it.
π: 0 β©: 1
Distance-Diz In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-07-22 00:09:03 +0000 UTC]
Please keep in mind I never said anything about "releasing". When I talk with them about these things I try to do it in a therapeutic and non-confrontational manner. These are very serious things and any mistake on my part would undo a lot of progress they may have made. A lot of the work I do with them at this point is self help.

OneLoveDrew In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-07-21 21:31:49 +0000 UTC]
I'm not wrong. The hatred I speak of is simply a strong dislike of something. You're talking about hatred on a psychological and irrational level. Hatred has levels and not everyone lets it consume their lives. It's called an opinion. It's like me hating pink. So trivial and not psychologically insane.
π: 0 β©: 1
Kelsey-Kat In reply to OneLoveDrew [2012-07-21 21:37:38 +0000 UTC]
Hate is "intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury."
Hatred is a feeling of hate, it is an emotion. All emotions should be examined on a psychological level. Feeling hatred on any level is harmful to you mentally and psychologically and increases cortisol levels which cause your telomeres to be worn off and increase aging and premature death. Hatred is unhealthy.
π: 0 β©: 1
OneLoveDrew In reply to Kelsey-Kat [2012-07-21 21:41:09 +0000 UTC]
Well, hatred is only unhealthy if you make a big deal of it. I absolutely cannot STAND the color pink. But that doesn't mean my health is in danger. It just means I hate something. I do get what you're saying, but what I speak of is simply a negative opinion. People like to group together through common interests. Now, I have seen SOME Anti Groups get out of hand, but I know plenty of them that are completely civil.
