Description
I have recently went on a trip to the Republic of Ireland, namely Counties Clare and Kerry, spending a total of 6 days in those beautiful places. I was hoping for slightly better weather condition, but I suppose you cannot have it all. Apart from visiting many tourist attractions I spent a few days shooting. Those have to be one of the most beautiful parts of the country. The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ireland attracting close to a million visitors yearly (according to Wikipedia). They reach 214 metres at the highest point making them the tallest in Ireland. There are a lot of birds nesting around the lower parts of the cliffs. I thought it added to the charm of the scenery.

A very nice photograph taken at sundown. The overall lighting is gorgeous and you have managed it really well. No blown highlights or blocked shadows. That large cloud is just in the right place for you to manage the sun. It's nice when the weather cooperates like that.
I also feel you've managed the foreground quite well. The area where you are standing does not have anything interesting, so you;ve worked that nicely, and given a lot of play to the spit of land on the right that has that warm glow from the setting sun. The warm colour of of the sun going down is nicely balanced by the warm tones of the grass on the right.
I have the same Tokina lens, and love it, but it is tough to work with as it is all too easy to have too much sky or too much land in the image. I assume that is part of the reason you've cropped the way you have. The panoramic view suits the image.
One sees a lot of sunset shots posted on DeviantArt. Very few work as well as this one does. Great photo!

Very nice work, I would write a critique myself but ^Kaz-D and *GrumpyDiver said some amazing things themselves.
But anyways..I really like the lighting and how the image isn't too bright. I agree that the left side of the photo looks a little dark and dull compared to the right side, but that's a minor error. The detail throughout the photo is excellent, you've really done a nice job here!

Thanks.
Yeah, I suppose there's quite a lot happening on the right side of the photograph, so the left just feels empty. I tried to compensate by including the sun on the left side of the frame.
Yeah, you're right, only now I see some luminosity differences in the image. I might try to equalize them later.
Funny enough, I posted this on another portal and I was heavily criticised for the image being soft. Despite it being sharp on a 20" print

Thanks
I took about 50 to ensure I got what I need
This however was stitched from 9 photos. 3x3 exposures -1/0/+1. Then a fair bit of postproduction. The natural light though made the photo.

This photographs consists of total of 9 shots.
Also, the postproduction of this shot involves too many procedures to include in a single tutorial It's about 2 hrs work.

When I was in the visitors centre there was an area showing pictures of bird catching on the Cliffs of Moher before the 1st world war. Looked crazy

Thanks. Yeah, it was one of the only spells of good weather at the right time. Through most of the trip there was some sun mid-day and a lot of grey at the start/end of the day
