I tried a night scene last week and just gave up. Its a bugger to do.
Would you mind if I ask what some of the light settings were. esp the cloud stuff. that seems to be a biggie?! I think...

Done, it's here for download as a .tgw file. Just make sure you have a terrain to go with it, or it won't look right.
I find that it was mostly the haze that got the effect I was after, combined with the camera exposure settings.

I have several DEM's converted to play with plus some 2 terr files from :devneweyorkion89: that are cool as well.
If I can't find a terr to work with your tgw then my name isn't mud!!

Very nice. The fog here adds a very spooky feeling to it

The landscape is very pretty, the layers of stone.
The sea is also very nice, very calm.
But the sky is a bit boring.

I always found night scenes very hard to pull off...but you did an excellent job with the dark atmosphere...the reflection across the bottom keeps it from being too dark. Nice work

Nice atmo, and gorgeous water. It looks really cool where the light is hitting it. The terrain is nice, but the surface lacks something. I think it needs a few extra layers for some extra detail. Nice job.

nice man, great atmo, the lighting is really quite good.
i think the strata could be a little more "rough". maybe another surface layer over the top with low coverage, just to break it up a little.

Woah, this is really good!
The only thing that bugs me is the way the light shows through the clouds. Somehow it looks... blotchy.

It probably looks blotchy because I lowered the quality quite a bit when I made it into a .jpg
