And the gun is seriously badass. Can't imagine what a Groudon would have to counter it.

anything remotely camouflaged and low key? Shes a 'sniper' wearing loud colors and leaving plenty of flesh visible for scrapes cuts bruises and burns to easily happen?
He did an awesome job doing the sprite, and I understand it is not his character.. but.. Unless you are working with Gundam Logic.. this is a pretty silly idea.

the point is, it's my character and it's not really meant to be realistic. It's just for cosplay purposes.

It's not in any particular universe because it was made completely for cosplay purposes. My design of kyogre that i will cosplay.
I wanted a to make a cool rail gun, and spike made me a cool rail gun design. Impractical it may be but its damned cool looking.
It's not meant to be a character in a story and therefore would not get any cuts or cruises. Not unless I get cut or bruised XD

I'm sorry. I am honestly trying to find out the back story of your character, you gave me a name.. I googled it.. It also has the red, white and blue colorings as your character.. Even though it looks nothing like your character besides that, Hence my confusion..

which is why people are mentioning "groudon" the red pokemon that is it's adversary. In the official game.
This is known as "gijinka" or humanization of characters that are normally not humans.

and i don't think i would have to explain my outfit. It looks recognizable as a kyogre from the color scheme and red symbols alone.

Different interpretations are what gijinka and humanization is all about.
Since you obviously didn't understand what this was before i explained it to you, it's no wonder you feel that way.
Obviously if you don't like it, that's fine. XD but you don't need to try to say it's a lose representation because it doesn't make sense to you.
I forsee the only questions i get is how i made the gun in the first place .and if they ask why i have a rail gun i'll just say "i want to make a big gun." simple as that.

Maybe Buff? Less Feminine as a whole? or maybe just a guy altogether? and instead of a Rifle, Groudon would probably have a Sword of some kind, maybe a great-sword even. (to deflect gunshots and other attacks)
