Chapter 1

You were bored. Very bored. So you are going to kill some time. You heard there is a traveling circus near your home, so you are going to drive there. In every case you had nothing better to do. The last time you were in a circus was long time ago, about 15 years.

When you arrived you saw just a little people. Also everything was very colorful, but not in a way it was usual. Somehow everything was a little creepy. But you went straight foreward to the big tent, which was colored violet, pink and blue. You bought your ticket and went in.

When you sat on your seat, you looked around. You saw no children. And, you noticed it earlier, it was really quiet. You heard no animals and exept of some peoples' mumbling it was absoulutely silent.
'Maybe the idea to come here was not the best.' you thought, but now it was too late. You bought your ticket and the show has to begin soon.

When suddenly the lights were turned off, some people pant in fright. Then a small light went on in the middle of the tent. A strange figure in a dark coat was seen. You coldn't see the face, so you coldn't say if it's a woman or a man. But this question became solved when a loud, manly voice started to speak.
"Welcome to our circus! I hope you all will enjoy the show. But I want you to remember: All things that will happen are show. Nothing more. Only some tricks. Even if they feel some kind of... realistic!" You heard a chuckle. Then he disappeared.
It became dark again. Then colorful lights appered from out of nowhere. You looked around. It was dark as the lights wouldn't exist, but you saw they light you and your seat. It was like everything disappered.
"Is that really a circus?" you asked yourself.
"Yes, it is. You only have to follow the way your heart shows you." someone said.
"Wait! Who are you? And where are you?"
He chuckled.
"I'm right next to you."
You turned around and looked to every side but you see nothing but dark and that strange lights.
"Where? I don't see anything."
He chuckled again. "You humans are so naive.Close your eyes and see with your heart!"
You closed your eyes but you don't know, what he ment with 'see with your heart'. You sighted. "Maybe you think I'm stupid, but I don't know how to see with my heart."
For a while it was quiet and you thought you were alone now, but then you felt a hand grabbing yours. It was warm.
"Let me help you" the nearly familiar voice said, "imagine you were back infront of the tent. What do you see? What do you smell? What do you feel?"
You remembered the colorful but also a little scary surroundings. It smelled a bit like candy floss. When you remembered right, you felt like something is watching you.

"Right, what if you were back?"
You suddenly heard his voice. It brought you back to reality.
"Hm, I don't know. I think I would go home." When you felt something hard and cold under you, you opened your eyes. You were not in the tent, not on your seat and noone from the show was around. You felt a hand holding yours, so you looked whose it is. You saw a young man with short hair colored like wheat, saphire- blue eyes and glasses. He wore a long, dark blue coat and brown trousers. You took your hand away and asked again "Who are you?"
He nodded. "I'm the king of Spades."
"King of Spades?" you asked, "like that one in card games?"
He nodded again.
"Do you have a name too?"
He said nothing, like he was thinking.
"Do you mean like 'Peter' or 'Sarah'?"
You nodded.
"No" he said, "give me one."
You were surprised. "I should give you a name? Why can't you do that by yourself?"
"Because I don't know many names. And I think you should do that."
"Uhm, okay." You thought about some names, but you found only one name which could fit.
"What about Alfred Jones?" you asked.
"Sounds good!" he smiled.
