Most minor annoyances, petty disappointments and downright frustrating inconveniences can be tied to the ceaseless tomfoolery of ghosts....since they have an eternity of spare time, they devise some grand mischief when given the chance...

These ghosts are of particular note because of their numbers. An unprotected home can be host to a large scale invasion of these little brutes. They delight in finding and consuming various bric a brac that they find on counter tops and tables. When one has keys, wristwatches, credit cards and cellphones around unattended, one can see the obvious dire consequences. The only fool proof way of avoiding them is to become a hermit and live a truly Zen-like existence without ANY tiny items of worth.
