So... Pokemon Diamond and Pearl comes out tomorrow!Yes, I'm going to cave and buy Pearl. I haven't played since I was disappointed with Gold and Silver, and was waiting for a new version to come out that would be just as revolutionary as Red and Blue. Setting myself up for disappointment? We'll see.
One thing I'm already disappointed by is the starter Pokemon. I was fantasizing about some other dragon/lizard type starter before I looked up the game on Wikipedia. Hopes shattered I'll probably go with the flaming monkey. Piplup is annoying on the anime, and I don't care much for grass pokemon. Why couldn't it be a flaming cow pokemon? I'd hit that...
I need to work on my word balloons. Suggestions?

these r the wqorst starters yet, but turtwig is cute (i started with turtwig, ^^)
but im annoyed coz most of the new ppokemon, arent new, theyre new, but new versions of the old ones... get what i mean??

I believe I shared your disappointment. (Not to mention the facial expression of the last panel.) I was like, "...This is it?" I usually go with the fire starter, but I didn't really want a monkey with a flaming ass and a poop-swirl for hair. ._.; After looking at the Squirtle-Bulbasaur lovechild long enough, I went for that one.

I still think all the new poklemon are a result of inbreeding. but hey everyone's gotta start with a single pokemon.. even if it does have a flaming butt... if it passes gas promptly run away

HAHA! Eh, yeah, the starter pokemon are a wee bit sucky this time around. Since I've started with water types in Ruby and Mystery Dungeon (<3) and Turtwig isn't pleasant looking, I went with a Chimchar named Reston (the ebola virus's landing site in the United States.)
Although the fire is supposedly caused by gases in its stomach, making a flame that only stops when it sleeps. That still hasn't stopped disturbing me.

*stares at Chimchar, Turtwig and Piplup for a while* I dun see what's so bad about the starters this time around, they're definately cute. That's all that matters to me... but their evolutions are really ugly, that's all that bugs me. At least they improoved the grass type starter this time... I'm not a real fan of Treecko, so... yeah. THat's why I said that. XD

You can always make the word ballons by using the circle tool in your paint program.

Not too sure... I've always been a fan of hand lettering but that's, as the French say, a pain in the behind.
I still swear by the rescue team pokemon game! So cute I nearly died... of joy

Hmm. That might work. I like hand lettering as well but I've always had a problem of keeping it all the appropriate size.
