Description Were the last words Kovu said as he walked away from Kiara and his two sons. He never looked back, and never intended to come back.

~~~
Some-whatish theory? I dunno. I kinda like it, but I'm not too sure yet. XD I was never really a fan of Kiara, and I felt Kovu never really 'loved' her. Oh well. Opinions. xD
And yes Kovu doesn't have his scar. I did that on purpose. His scar was temporary, and just went away after some time of healing.
This took about an hour on Sketchbook Pro 6
Enjoy!
That might do. Kovu doesn't seem like a very loyal fella; he even betrayed his own family to be with some Pridelander girl... xD So who knows if his and Kiara's thing is gonna last either. That would make him imperfect, in a good way. Gives some edge to him. And who knows if he experiences some kind of emotional instability or anxiety due to how he just switched sides to be with Kiara... Because, before that his identity was all about being a killer, Simba's murderer. MustΒ be confusing to suddenly just turn into a good guy. He might feel the need to explore himself through exploring the outside world, to truly find himself. He might be too emotionally damaged to become the king after Simba; that's what a childhood of brainwashing and killer training might cause.
Simba isn't a perfect king either... He's a bit too strict and conservative by what comes to Kiara. He's raised Kiara to think that staying with the pride is the best and only option. But Kiara might just as well grow sick of that.
I do like the idea that Kovu and Kiara run away, as they almost planned in one scene in the movie. They're sick of their parents and homelands and want to find freedom.... But what if freedom means they'll be set apart during their adventure to the outside world? What if they grow sick of each other? That might happen too... Because Kiara never really got a chance to be completely independend, yet she has a huge drive to be free... Maybe Kiara wants to be alone to find herself, too. Kiara spending years alone in the wild... Would make a really interesting character developement. She'd grow out of the princess role, out of the thought that she and Kovu are each others' "other halves" and finally learn what it means to be KIARA and no one else.
Kovu might just want to spend the rest of his life adventuring and having fun. His youth was ruled by Zira's strict rules and he probably didn't want to be the king of Pridelands either...
Haha, this pic provoked some theories in me.Β xD Good job.
No prob, I find that fans who depict a not-so-good or outright "evil" Kovu get badly mistreated by other fans because "Kovu would never do that!" < in all honesty, there's no telling what was going through Kovu's head during SP, he was a very shady character, even when he became "the good guy" and his love towards Kiara seemed somewhat forced, like he'd rather have her as an acquaintance than a mate or even a friend, or like he simply returned the affection because he didn't want to hurt her feelings, something about him just seemed...Fake...So I can easily see him reverting to his old ways or turning his back on Kiara or something along those lines after the events of SP
I love this!!! I also had the same feelings to. I think Kiara was just a fling, and a way to get into the pridelands. His main objective from his mother anyway was to get close to Kiara, then they'd take Simba and the pride. I can so see this happening. Now I don't know if he'd leave his cubs behind, my theory is that he would leave with them, leaving Kiara completely all alone.
Thank you!Β Β And I think once his cubs grew up they weren't interested being royals as well and left to go find their father, leaving Kiara alone and with no heir.Β
I have a friend who had a similar theory. Saying that Kovu would eventually grow out of his "Love" Phase and end up leaving pride rock because he wasn't ready or wanting to be king.
