tumblr ☞☞ onisuu.tumblr.com/post/1672619…I recently got a Super Smash Bros Link Amiibo (finally! it was always out of stock!) and got excited to use it right away!
I forgot the first use brings out Epona and you have to bring her to a stable to register her as a permanent steed or else she just despawns. :'D Well, unfortunately, I was located on a cliff area and not only that, it's located on the Great Plateau, which has no stable anywhere on it. (hurrah!)
After my mistake, I should've turned off the game and retry in the right location, but I suddenly had to go somewhere and without a second thought, I saved and turned off the system. XD;;;
So now...I must rely on luck to see if I can summon Epona again (but from now on, I'll make sure to be near a Stable before using the amiibo XD).
So far, I've just gotten item drops from the amiibo since that fateful day.... ^-^;;;;;

this happened to me.. i sat there for a while before realising i could load an autosave and try again.

scan a regular amiibo first, then scan the smash bros Link one. that should force Epona to appear

THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO. I was waiting for some rain to let up, so I popped in my amiibos to pass the time, and I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD GET A HORSE OUT OF IT.
A week later of trying repeatedly, I got Epona again and was able to stable her. I was afraid I lost her. X''''D

Oh gawd, I didn't know that was even possible! X'DD Don't own the amiibo though, my stable's always full of horses, I doubt Epona would fit in. Best of luck next time!

Indeed! :'D Oh, but isn't it that White Stallion that has five stars in one section...? It has 5 stars stamina, and the Giant Horse has 5 stars strength. Though I'd love to get one with 5 stars in the speed. Or one with all stats being 5 but I don't know if that's possible.

had a similar problem, the smash link amiibo was the first I ever used, but I didn't know how to register a horse until long after epona despawned. It's fine though, I've been naming all my horses after villans from the series so Epona would stick out.

It says there's a small chance she will come out of the amiibo again, people have had their best luck going near a stable and trying to spawn her, or the same but doing Wolf Link (not sure if specifically this Amiibo or just other Amiibos) and ThenSmash Bros Link and it seems to up the chances of her spawning? This seems to be such a common accident, I'm crossing fingers they're working on a fix ; 0;

What about going back to an autosave moment before the action took place? XD I myself used the autosave slots to save my butt on multiple occasions
