Description
Oh yeah, three days and approximately 6 hours of slaving over this piece. It came out considerably well, a little hair-pulling but ah...finally its finished. I got rid of the fireball and the crescent moon from the sketch. Settled for the full moon and faerie lights. The colors are amazing...spent a lot of time thinking of contrast.Yar.
Enjoy!

This is so nice! I love that it's not digital as one could expect with this style of art - also it has a detailed background which is rare. Wonderful structure that would be hard to imitate in a computer program. Well done.

Wow sissy, this is really colorful, and I see our whole lil family is here chatting and commenting on your piccie ^^, what medium is that? As for me, I can't stand painting, drawing will always be my thing though I found out photography is really fun, especially when you've got willing models ^^ but really sis, great job, that's some individual style you are developing there!

You moved and officially have internet, I'm assuming. Yeah, the whole female family is here...hahaha, except Megg...don't know where she went for the time being. The medium would be watercolors mainly, some ink for line working, and a silver Emily the Strange gel pen. Awww...drawing and painting will always be close to my heart. I envy the fact that you are able to do pencil crayon coloring. My hand starts to ache after a few hours. Mm, photography...something I want to master eventually...got a digital camera now. Eh, *blushes* Well, well, thanks Di! That means alot...since this is the second full-length picture I've done this year. Hahaha, individual style. Hopefully.

damn right, and me got a digital camera too, check out a few of my shots. I know Gabbster does photography too ^^, so we are all in it together now, you need to catch up sissy, haven't seen any photos in your gallery yet ^^
And watercolors, that I envy, I can never master it, I like the more precise media, pencil crayons, ink, graphite pencils, acrilycs, etc, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, those things don't work well with me, it always turns out messy. You know, if we got together and put our strengths into one work, it would be one hell of a picture, lol but....well, whenever that will be.
Anyways, gotta fly, see ya around sis!

Well, never read the thick digi cam manual yet. There are so many functions. So, there will be photos up soon...I guess. I never get the time to upload them. Yes, if we did combine out strengths the work would be awesome. But how would we do it...send it back and forth through Canada Post? Ooh, acrylic..I should go buy some and experiment. Haven't touched them for a while. Do you know what paper, or is it canvas I use for acrylics?
Oh, you live in Ottawa now...I might visit Ottawa soon with a few friends...hahaha.

Ha ha, I guess you could use watercolor type paper for acrylics, it depends what you are doing. Acrylics can be used in different ways, with water the same way you would use watercolors, flat like tempera or super thick like oil. You chose what you draw on depending on how you plan to use the paint. I preffer canvas, but acrylics are awesome on wood (personally tried it and loved it), and I don't like acrylics on paper that much. But those are just my prefferences, find your own way, they are fun to play around with. Especially transparency and lighting effects you can make with them.
Canada post? Don't know about that, sounds costly. Not very motivational material if you know what I mean. Oh, and about that manual. I got a really thick one too, never opened it tho ^^

Apparently. Especially when one works at a uniform retail store that require's one to dress up snobby and obese little children who constantly cry and demand. I guess I'm lucky, especially when I can survive 3 hours of dressing the same snobby little brat without crying myself.

Yeah, I'd say it would be useful there. Although I wouldn't think the danger in not having the patience for that situation would be starting to cry.

Hahaha, thanks Natasha. Yeah, I can draw and color things at will...usually I leave off my drawings and paint them much later...but its all about whim. I'm the type of person with the attention span of a goldfish...too many things to do and too little time. :] Practice and hairpulling are my advice. [Hairpulling meaning patience!]
