At the end of the true pacifist run, there's an easter egg: after your conversation with Asriel, and before you exit the underground for good, you can go through the entire underground backwards, all the way to the very start of the game, and he'll be waiting at the flower patch... you can have one last conversation before you have to say goodbye.

I was thinking the other day - what must be going through his mind? Knowing he was about to revert to the same terrible, soulless form that he'd been stuck in for years, about to lose his family again just as his actions freed them, knowing he'd never see them again... it had to be crushing. I can't even imagine the relief that would go through his mind if you showed up to talk to him, one last time. *sob* he's so brave
