The world is full of mythical, or unexplained creatures. Monsters whose origins or ability can't be explained. Many of these creatures stand alone as cryptids, but many were also at one point human. The Witch of Curses is one such of these creatures. Locked in a ceramic armor, she was the origin of the legend of the genie. Those who found her cracked human sized vase, could ask for a wish, and she would answer with tormented whispers. Soon enough, the person's wish would eventually be granted, but not all was as it would seem. Those whose wish was granted, would quickly discover the cost of magic, and find their wishes be twisted into vile curses. For example, if you wished for a great crop this season, one might find their next crop to be full and bountiful, however any land they would touch would become unfertile and unusable for the future. Many would return to the vile Witch of Curses, and find that she was happy to reverse the curse placed on them, for a price. If one accepted, they would be dragged into the velvet darkness of the pot by unseen hands, to never be heard of again.
