He is such a unique character...lovely TvT

I must confess that my favorite character when I first watch Madagascar was King Julian...I loved penguins, but he was my favorite lol 

Then, in 2008, I watched Christmas special, Penguins in a Christmas Caper, and that short video made me love Rico so much

On that day, I went to theater directly to watch Madagascar 2 to see these lovely penguins. XD

Nah, they were my favorite since the first movie, and now that i think about it, Rico was my first favorite...

I mean, I said it took me some time to start linking him but I'm talking about the cartoon (I call it cartoon but I'm talking about the serie. I don't think that 'catoon' is the right term, but I'm already using it, so haha). When i first saw Madagascar I remember linking him, and I don't remember why, but I went to tha USA around that time and I bought a Rico gigant plushie. Unfortunally, Dreamworks is TERRIBLE on making toys (really, can someone please tell Dreamworks to hire someone from Disney to help? i really wanted to spend some money on penguins toys but they all look like they suffered a terrible accident and are asking you to kill them for mercy...), so I bought a random one and I just checked recently and he's marked as 'penguin one', so i believe it's skipper, what is sad because I love him and the plushie was so poorly made... 

I didn't like King Julien when i first saw him in the movie, but I do like him now in the cartoon. He just have some characters stablishng moments that, for me, make it clear that he's not stupid, just don't like to think. Like on Operation: Antactica, when he makes it clear that he knows that people hate him and his attitude, but he just think that it's better to do what he likes and having fun than to listen to people and stay quiet in the corner. This one was actually the reason I didn't stop cosplaying on my first failure as a cosplayer =]

I guess the only characters that i don't really like from POM are Leonard, Joey and Rhonda. Even Alice is a great character. Gosh, how I love this show ='>

That is good that they were your favorite from the first place! But for me although Julian was my favorite in Madagascar, Rico was still my favorite one among penguins lol 

After that Rico, he stayed as my favorite from the other two movies, specials and TV series tehehe XD

About the merchandise... I was horrified by plushie... I bought small figures of tv series ones, but I don't know but I could not find and buy Maurice... TT except those ones (they are not a really good quality either) others I don't dare to buy them...

I remember that I was so sad that I miss McDonald toys of POM though lol  

King Julian is pleasing me all the time. But I like movie's one a bit more ;v;

For me I do not have any character that I don't like... I am more like... not interested lol

Ha...but the show... itself and those penguins... just...too fantastic!! TvT
