I hope you've seen the movie, if you haven't then you should...you'll most likely recognize this specific screen shot of the movie at 1:59:12. I drew this from that particular screen shot by pausing it on the screen of my laptop.

p.s. If you notice the crooked nose, well...that's how his nose is, i drew it as is instead of correcting it.

Goodness...Really great detail and proportions Amanda... and the blurred gun gives it the spatial sensation, the nearest parts out of focus, as well as a bit of the ears, which are further away, but focused on the plane of the face, at the eyes...yeah i saw this movie, though I can't quite remember if this is just a few seconds before he shot that serial killer dude in the orange suit, while Morgan Freeman was giving some codes over the radio to stand down,...while Brad discovers in the box..well ok, ok..into the gutter about movie telling I guess...lol...anyhow, sadness and vengeance at the same time really captured in the expression. Oh my oh my you used 9B and 8B ? I bet those pencils must be almost like butter but then again really laying out a good amount of jet-black...

This screen shot was right before he kills him, while he's contemplating it, youknow he's about to do it, you see the anger and woe in his eyes...

Thanks for the comment! I am glad that you realized that i intentionally brought the focus to the eyes.

yeah..now i remember it better...somewhat I remember some expressions of Pitt also from the movie of 12 monkies, costarring with Willis...No problem on the comment! ..so how did u prevented the screen pixels of your laptop from burning? just kid'n... anyhow, yeah LCD displays can really come in handy when you have the unprinted version of the source image heehee... actually the Natalie drawing i'm doing it from a picture I loaded as desktop, just throwing all the pesky icons outta the way.. ...which reminds me...i better get on with it a bit

I am confused by yourcomment about my screen pixels! I just don't get it hahaha, so if you don't mind (even if you were joking) tell me what ya meant! Btw about 9b and 8b...not too soft, you just gotta be careful where you lay it down because it never erases completely.

oh....what I meant is that on your laptop, you had to have the frame freezed in order to be able to have the reference for your drawing, and then by looking at your execution time, about 8 hours...if you had done that nonestop, probably a few of the laptop screen pixels could have burnt out...

this is bad ass, i love the blured gun, looks so realistically drawn in consideration of the focus of the screenshot. very nicely done, awesome detail on the face. plus, cool film

AHHHHHHH! Brad Pitt? Its Braid Pitt, right? *Shifty eyes* This drawing is SO detailed. Its coolness burns my eyes. I love the expression, and the fine detail of the hair is just....wow. XD

Thank you ! , I am glad i did a good job making this highly recognizable so that people wouldn't need a ref pic to know what I've drawn .

Wow, awesome finish! Your shading gets better and better with each new drawing. I love how you did that blurry effect with the gun.. I can't do that even if my life was on the line. The eyes are beautiful and full of emotion and once again you captured the character very well. Nice finish!

OnlyMe722 In reply to KingVahagn [2005-10-12 21:22:02 +0000 UTC]

Yea I become a bit more bold with my shading every time...I used to just pull in the shades from outlying darks like hair and stuff because i was afraid to sketch the shades right on to the "face" and having sketch lines left over...but if i want darker tones I have to do it , so i did it. I still need practice with getting really smoth shading but I am working on it. And about the gun, from me to you, i gotta admit that I used a PS editor to smooth it out a tad because it came out looking really rough in the scan... Anyways, thanks for the great comment .
