I just wanted to see if I could get her to stand in those shoes, but when I did I realize she totally had the "Nobody move! I lost a contact!" pose.The colors in this look a little crazy on my monitor but I didn't really do much to them to them. Soooo hopefully they aren't too wonky.

Well hi there! I only was able to get mine because someone on tumblr posted that Amazon had Spectra for $20 so I decided to see if they had Toralei and they did. I'm still popping in to see if they ever get any Abbeys in for $20 but no luck so far. Though I'm honestly not sure if I really want her, or if I just want her because she's hard to get so I should try to get her now in case I do want her later.

i wasnt too crazy with her at first either but after seeing so many owner pics i was sold!
im only collecting a few of these dolls tho seeing as there aren't a lot i like and only a few i do like.
are you going to be getting the create a monster set?
i already planned a split on one with someone in another forum so i'll be making a custom werewolf girl to go with toralei(if i ever get her that is)

I don't know much about the create a monster sets, I've just seen people mention them on tumblr. From the sounds of it I totally want one. It'd probably be easier for me to just buy it and then sell the pieces I don't want than to find someone to split it with.

I see these dolls a lot these days. I thought they were a little too like Bratz dolls at first, not really something I cared for aesthetically, but I've seen a lot of really neat photos of them that make me appreciate them a bit more.
Still... not something I have plans for getting into. But I really like your photos of them so far. :3

I thought they were dumb at first but they started growing on me. Naturally my favorites (out of the dolls, not the characters) are the fish girl and the cat girl. X3 I blame Abe Sapien and the fact that I will always be a cat girl at heart.
Plus they're cheaper than BJDs, but still help kill the new doll want so that works too.

I definitely understand wanting to quench the new doll thirst with something cheap *nod*. If I didn't have too many other projects already I might consider getting into them to repaint, 'cause I've seen some really neat ones. But if I do get the urge to get something cheap for customizing I'm more likely to get a Hujoo.

I've come really close to getting a Hujoo Berry (I think is what it's called) a few times, but I've always resisted. So far. And I was surprised that the last time I looked they had more stuff I liked.

Berry is really cute, I was tempted to get one for a while too. Lately though I've been eyeing the Hujoo closed eye Wings. I can see him being a delightfully evil little friend for Blob. >:3 I'm resisting though, at least until after Christmas. To be honest I should just be saving up to get bodies for all my floating heads. >.>

Good luck. She's one of the rarer ones that people are over pricing like crazy right now. >.< Last week Amazon got a bunch of her and Spectra for their regular $20 prices so I pounced on her. ... No pun intended.
Then UPS lost her, cancelled my claim and told me to take it to Amazon... but she showed up thankfully.

Amazon sometimes has Spectra for $20. Monday I was refreshing Toralei's sale page like crazy because at that point I thought the one I had bought was lost and I was going to have to try and catch another, and Spectra was in the "HEY BUY THIS TOO!" links in the bottom of the page. She kept going back and forth between $20 and $35 all day. I finally bought one because I was feeling sorry for myself.

It's times like these when I miss hanging out with my old friend Todd. If we were looking for something, we would go to every Wal-Mart within... I don't know, a 45 minute drive maybe? There are five or six that we can get to without going too far. And a few Targets. And at least one K-Mart. And a Toys R Us. But Ryan really isn't into that sort of thing. *le sigh*
