They're very hard to get good pictures of, especially when they're flying. It takes many tries for me to get a shot like this.

Great pic! 2.5 years of living on the Best Coast and I've only seen 3 or 4 of these guys...and they were not being photogenic. You caught this one extremely well!

Thank you. I'm lucky because they're pretty common here. There's a couple that come and raid the bird feeders almost every day. On a really good day sometimes 6-7 will show up.
