Linx is the first sighting we ever get of a Sontaran (a race recently brought back for the television series), and in my opinion, he is still the best. Brilliantly played by the late Kevin Lindsay, here he meets Jon Pertwee's Doctor in 'The Time Warrior'.Related content

this doctor was my favorite along with the second doctor. and you did make a good job on mister potato head ..... i mean the sontaran , even if it was the first time they apear in time warrior, the alien in the seed of death did look like an early vertion of the sontaran, and they did plan a simillar earth invasion than in the fourth serie we saw this year

I thought the Sontarans in the most recent series looked more sophisticated, but they weren't as scary or sinister as Linx or Styre. They seemed too well spoken and ... cuddly almost!

well everything in the new serie is as less scary than the old serie.

I agree in part with what you say. Mind you, have you seen 'Blink?' That had me on the dge of my seat!
With the writer Steven Moffat taking over the running of the show from 2010, I'm hopinh we can look forward to more scary stories!
