I find it very sad that animal rights activists constantly try to get wild creatures banned from captivity. Burmese pythons, rock pythons, and yellow anacondas have been placed on the Lacey's Act. I think that people should have the right to own ANY animal they wish as long as they know what they are doing and can give the animal a happy, healthy life. I am very sorry you can't have ball pythons in Australia.

we're not allowed snakes that aren't native to australia
GTP, Jungles, Coastals, Darwin, Diamond, Bredlis etc are only allowed
I mean, Im not complaining at all but its just sad we dont get the exotic types like anacondas, ball pythons corn snakes etc here

yes! Im looking at getting a Jungle x coastal or an Olive python, they're beautiful *^*
and yes we are allowed native venoms, one day I hope to get a red belly black ;u; they're extremely stunning and rather docile for a venomous snake. Like, you can free handle without fear of being bitten

I heard Gaboon vipers are very docile, too. They live in Africa and are highly venomous though. No matter how docile they are... I wouldn't want to free handle a venomous snake. I'll just watch them behind glass.
