Although (and I know this will sound stupid) but I am so confused right now. Is the voice you hear from a recording your actual voice, or is the one you normally hear your actual voice? It's confused me for more time than I'm willing to admit.

The recording. Your head is better able to transfer deeper sounds so you think you have a deeper voice but in a recording there is nothing that makes the higher or lower pitch transfer better so the recording shows your actual voice.
