Description
This was shot at the top of Corcovado, in which Christ The Redeemer is. People were waiting on the line for their turn to get in the vans and make their way back and as I was observing them, I noticed that time to time they had to walk, making a beautiful pattern. I was able to capture it and the clean sky as background helped me with the soft white and grey background.Almost aways, the beauty in our everyday life is unnoticed. I say almost always cause we, photographers, are one of the exceptions. It is so good to be a photographer! My mom was very surprised that I could portray such beauty in a simple queue of people, being even more surprised when she thought that she was there too, but could not see anything at all. Society models the behavior of people, and wherever you are you are expected to do the proper things for the situation, and we end up forgetting to actually observe our surroundings.
I think I'm too philosophical today
EDIT: Submitted it now as a print!

I'm not agree with in the "too much sky-opinion" because the photo would be TOO reguilar if you maked it a panorama. And I dont think that it would make a better picture with only silhuettes either, if thats what he/she wanted to say. But I gess it's just individuall taste. (Sorry for my BAD english, if you make notice) I really like the photo. It's different. And so it should be.
And you are NOT too philosophical. I love your way of thinking.

I do agree with you there, if it was a panorama it would be too regular, the square crop makes the photo and the sky gives it simplicity! I also think that if ppl were silhouetted it would lose too, I tried to increase the contrast just to experiment and didn't like the results. I'm glad you dig it and that you like my way of thinking Thanks so much!

I SO agree with you! I actually thought that too one day...people must learn to see the curious and sometimes funny things that happen around us in our everyday life! These are partly what make my life worth living!
Great shot!

When I started to think and see things like a photographer I can say that my life has changed since then. I now learned to actually see things instead of just passing by, and I'm glad you agree with me, you are right. Thanks so much by the way

Of course. I also agree with what you said about photographers being the ones expected/trying to capture the beauty of 'everyday life'. I'm not much of a photographer myself, but I do find that I look at the world in a different way after holding a camera.
