Description This was shot at the top of Corcovado, in which Christ The Redeemer is. People were waiting on the line for their turn to get in the vans and make their way back and as I was observing them, I noticed that time to time they had to walk, making a beautiful pattern. I was able to capture it and the clean sky as background helped me with the soft white and grey background.

Almost aways, the beauty in our everyday life is unnoticed. I say almost always cause we, photographers, are one of the exceptions. It is so good to be a photographer! My mom was very surprised that I could portray such beauty in a simple queue of people, being even more surprised when she thought that she was there too, but could not see anything at all. Society models the behavior of people, and wherever you are you are expected to do the proper things for the situation, and we end up forgetting to actually observe our surroundings.

I think I'm too philosophical today

EDIT: Submitted it now as a print!

I'm glad that you liked this shot that much. Highlighting one person on the pic may sound a good idea, but it would create another concept for it. I was lucky to have a completely blue sky that after the B&W conversion came out really good as a clean background, and that's in part what makes the shot. Thank you for the critique, I appreciate it!

Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

First off I got hand it to you great idea very orginal and thoughful e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

I like the sapcing in between each individial it's very semilar in between each peson.

The all are playing with there cell phone haha thats funny.

I personally think If the people were in silhoutte and that there was more shadow that it would had created a bigger impact like dunno the same line aroudn 7:30 in the evening when the sun is setting. I'm also thinking threes bit to much sky maybee shrink it and make it a paronama or whatever you call them lol.

Anyhow great picture none the less just stating what I would had liked to see e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

Hope it helps e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

Sure thing you get a lot of of great pic, amazing picture but no ones giving you constructive critism to help you out

That why I like the new critique feature I think I'll put up some work myself for critique.

Sorry for the delay on the reply. I had the exact same feeling as you did when I was reviewing the images of that day on the viewfinder of my camera. I knew I had something, but I thought that this could be better if the sun was a bit lower to have bigger shadows on the ground. With more shadows, I could have a bit less sky on the pic.

The original version is not a square, after comparing the original with the square crop dozens of times I realized that the framed square crop has much more impact than the original. I was also lucky to have the people acting equally and that's what makes this shot I think.

I agree with you people acting Equally sure does have an impact. This shows where individualism stands in our evolutionary spectrum. Not much different than if you had took the picture of 6 pidgeons half of them would be pecking at the ground while the others be doing the same thing. If you are lucky maybee one will do something unique like fix it's feather haha.

Capturing the essence of human behavior in photography is always a sure way to get impact if done properly we can all relate to it.

True, very true. Human behavior can be very appealing when it comes to photography. People acting the same are good subjects and like you said abt the pigeons, when you're able to notice something standing out of the crowd and are able to capture it, it's amazing too!

Dude, I hope I can get off of this computer without favoriting your entire gallery, but chances do look pretty slim. You've really just opened up my eyes to what photography is in essence, and I'm speechless. Just know that I've favorited every one of your photos in spirit, if not on the Internet.

Also, if there's a fave photographer category on my deviant profile, you're going there, without a doubt.

And sorry for the very late reply!
