Tadah! There you can see Knuckles´ mother Lara-Le, his stepbrother Kneecapion Mace, stepfather Wynmacher and father Locke. And of course you know Oona-Me and Knuckles.The situation is this: Knuckles the Echidna, the Guardian of Master Emerald just arrived in dimension Mobius with his human girlfriend Oona. With the power of Master Emerald they transformed Oona into violet echidna. Then, two hours after that, Knuckles´ family came to Angel Island to see this Oona they have heard of. They know that she was human and is now turned into echidna, so it wasn’t surprise to see her like that. But then…
Lara-Le: “You must be Knuckles´ girlfriend?”
Oona: “Yes, I am Oona-Me.”
You know, her name was Oona not Oona-Me. So now everyone was surprised. From where that Me came from??
Oona-Me herself didn’t even notice what she said. She just told them her name, so what’s wrong with that? She did not notice that her name was changed a bit in her mind…
Knuckles is just surprised because the change of the name. But adults… they know more… They know the meaning of that name. Which I’m not telling you this time!
I’m too lazy to explain it now. And you’re probably not interested of it. Do you see one thing? I made crappy backround!

I know that she is, at least in comics canon. I just like pairing him with my fancharacter. Plus this picture is about four years old anyway XD

Well, long story short: Oona-Me's mother, Meisha-Me, died when her house got set on fire. At that time, she was pregnant (with Oona-Me) and some others knew about it as well. The weird thing is, that when her body was dug up from the remainders of the house, there was no sight of the baby. The baby had just disappeared and no one knew how.
And now, almost 17 years later, a girl from another dimension appears, and happens to be just the right age to be the missing baby, and claims her name to have the same ending that runs in the family with that particular echidna-family. And there is no way that she would know about the whole thing before hand, so it's pretty shocking.
Yeah, in case you aren't familiar with Archie Comics -version of echidnas, there is this tradition that the girls have an ending on their name. Like Julie-Su, Lara-Le, Gala-Na and so on. And the ending runs in the family, from mother to daughter. So if mother is named Julie-Su, her daughter would be Oona-Su. So as mothers name is Meisha-Me, her daughter would be Oona-Me.
So, Meisha-Me was the last living female member of the Me-family, so anyone claiming their name to have -Me at the end would have to be her daughter. And Oona just naturally added the ending to her name as she turned into an echidna, because she actually is Meisha-Me's daughter, who was magically transported into another dimension to be safe even though her original mother died.
Am I making any sense here? XD

Okay, I tell you^^ Oona-Me is actually daughter of Lady Meisha-Me and sir Raamos. Oona-Me was only fetus when suddenly their house catch fire. Her parents died. No one knows what happened, but somehow the fetus disappeared. Doctors, however, still knew Meisha-Me was pregnant before accident, so it was mystery where did that unborn baby went.
Then almost 17 years later Oona came to Mobius and told her name is Oona-Me. Coincidence? Then Locke asked one simply question: "Oona-Me, do you happen to have white star shape on you belly?" Answer is yes. So she couldn´t be anyone else than that missed fetus. Because only members of Me-family has that shape on their belly. So, fetus somehow went to other dimension and made Oonas human mother pregnant.
And Oona-Me is now trying to find out what happened, why and so on. And I can´t tell more because here is actually some people, who are reading my fan fictions and I don´t want to spoil anything.

Aww, thank you=^^= That was my fan fiction in nutshell. Too sad to you, that fic is written in Finnish and I´m not that good in English that I could write it in it. And actually the first episode, "The human and the Echidna", has 16 parts which are at least 4 pages long each, so there would be way too much work to even try to translate em. And this one what I am writing atm, "Life in Angel Island", has already 3 parts and more to come. And I also have this other episode which I´m writing at the same time, "Circle of friends", but I haven´t released a single part of it yet. And all those three are connected to each other and are telling the story of Oona-Mes life. In first episode she is a human, and in those others she is an echidna. Sooo... she has quite interesting life
