Height: 16 meters

Weight: 10,000 tons

Powers:
Slow Metabolism: With little food underground, caecusaurs have evolved an exceptionally slow metabolism. They are able to go long periods of time without eating.

Weaknesses:
Blind: Having lost their eyes, caecusaurs rely on their other senses (primarily smell and hearing). If these senses are overwhelmed, the caecusaur can become easily confused and disoriented.

Personality:
Having evolved in almost total isolation, caecusarus is notoriously territorial, and will become aggressive if their territory is invaded. Besides that, they are a carnivorous species of average intelligence.

History:
A light pierced the darkness. A cheap lighter illuminated the contours of Dante's face. "Great. Just great. Thanks a lot you guys." Dante said, glaring as he rose to his feet.

"Hey," Jason said, removing a flashlight from the backpack he carried, "you're the one that followed us."

"What were you freaks doing out in the woods anyway?" Dante continued.

Zach spoke up. "With the recent seismological activity, Jason thought there was an earth hollow somewhere near town. We were going to look for it."

"Earth hollow? Around here? You guys are crazy."

"In his defense, we are in some sort of cave system. It may not be an earth hollow, but it's something." Zach paused. "Anyway, I suggest we find a way out of here, before you continue-"

Zach was cut off by an earth-shattering roar. Following the roar was the thunderous sound of something very big approaching very fast. Curses were screamed as everyone began running in the opposite direction. Jason glanced back, shining the light on a mass of claws and horns. Swinging the flashlight back around, the light passed over a small corridor leading off into another part of the cave.

"That way!" Liz called. Running to the hole in the wall, the flashlight slipped from Jason's hands. Turning back to find it, a hand grabbed his collar, pulling him forward.

"There's no time!" Zach yelled.

After passing through into another chamber, a massive thud signaled the creature slamming into the cave wall. Falling debris closed off the opening they had just come through, and the four were once again alone.

Wow. These guys had a long evolution in a short amount of time. I needed a monster for this story, and originally I was going to introduce anti-surudago. Ended up deciding against that (though I did draw a KAS pic of him, so expect that in the future). Decided to come with a generic cannon fodder creature, and doodled this (not this picture, but this creature). I wasn't even going to do a file for him (being generic cannon fodder that would be dead by the end of the story), but then two things happened. One, I had a big chunk of story, and I wanted another file to break it into two smaller pieces.

Two, I got awesome inspiration. They're aquatic, because originally it was gonna have all these different powers so that each person would have to fight it differently. I scrapped that idea, but I liked the aquatic look, so I kept that. Then I got to thinking; aquatic + live in caves = [link] ! I decided to base it off of that (and make it an entire species), and at that point I fell in love with it. Probably even going to work them into the surudaverse somehow...

And I know they're monsters, underground, but it's not supposed to be an Earth Hollow. Just a regular old giant-ass cave system.
