Little something I made in between school and my contest winner. Given that the Investigation Squad visits a world behind the television, I wanted to make a scene where the girls get transformed into retro cartoon ladies. Plus, it was a good way to learn how to grayscale
Chie's a rough-and-tough boxing girl, Yukiko's a girl-next-door waitress, Rise is a sultry singer, and Naoto is a cross of a noir detective/femme fatale.

Alright this isn't getting nearly enough attention. The expressions and little blurbs are just absolutely adorable! Great work with the outfit redesigns, too, so much energy and life despite being monochrome!

Oh I am always biased toward Naoto and think the transformation is the most drastic with her (and her expression is wonderful), but I find Yukiko's stylings also really adorable.

Certainly so. Naoto was also one of my favorite since it combines two character archtypes. Though I'm glad you adore Yukiko's design.
