Description
Meena Ascendant (Pisces)"Scion of darkness ruling and protecting those who live in the underworld, in opposition to Lahabrea the Abyssal Celebrant and scion of light. In the course of his rule, he submitted to avarice, and the darkness took his heart, transforming him until he was both evil and corrupt. Then in his cowardice did he bind a Goddess of the Demesne of Ice, and using her as a living shield, he challenged the gods. Defeated before their might, he fell screaming into the depths of hell, there to be imprisoned for eternity."

I think Mateus is my favorite esper. He's pretty cool (like his element: ice. hehe). Mateus' real face was in the back right? I haven't gotten to see it, so curious.

Thanks! Mateus is definitely my favorite esper as well, the design is just so the creative and twisted, I love it. The designs for all the espers in ffxii were awesome imo. I dont know if his face is on the back, that's the first I've heard of that. Might need to dust off my ps2 and find out lol.

But I have to say Zeromus was rather... disturbing. lol.
Oh, I think I heard that one from someone. People was confused whether Mateus was a 'he' or a 'she'. Someone said (like in the bestiary entry) that he bind a goddess to him, use her as a shield. So the Mateus we've seen up front was the goddess whilst his true face was on the back. I never checked it out, though.

in xii the summons aren't worth the efoort of getting them but in the international version they can be controlled just like party members overall, amazing pic

Final fantasy is truly one of the most Gorgeous franchise, ever made! Mateus damn, Mateus is the demon of one of the deadly sins which is lust, Mateus is known for corrupting peoples hearts into pervertedness.

Well, yes, mateus is a guy but ppl who are unfamiliar with FF XII and even some who are not mistake the ice goddess for mateus.
