HISTORY
Lucille Martin, novelist and adventurer, was returning from a work trip to China. In the boat, she was accompanied by Lotus, a maid of Chin Lian, the master of the house in which Lucille had lodged during her time in China.
Chin Lian had entrusted Lotus with the mission of taking a valuable jade statuette to Chinatown. But the triads were willing to stand in their way.
Knowing that the mission was in danger, Lotus handed the statuette to Lucille, along with a blue ring with the carved effigy of a bird. "Take this ring. With it Shing Thang, its legit owner, will recognize you. And it also give you luck."
That same night Lotus is assaulted by the triads' hit men and despite fighting fiercely, is killed and thrown overboard.
Already in NY City, Lucille meets Larry Grant, her fiance. She tells him what happened and he asks her to forget the whole thing. But Luci is not willing to forget a thing. Dressed in a carnival costume to confuse the triads, Luci arrive at the address indicated by Lotus in Chinatown and once in the place, the adventurer is involved in a struggle for her life at the end of which she will finally emerge victorious, fulfilling the mission of Lotus.
