I like EEnE over other cartoons because the characters are like real kids.. plus the animation is so alive. Not people opening and closing their mouths like fish to talk while not blinking or moving.
Plus, you gotta love the slapstick.
EEnE chars have such unique personalities. These kids hang out outside with their friends doing silly stuff... not doing retarded cliche episodes like turning into animals or going to space. EEnE is more realistic than that, but it still has fun cartoony traits - like picking up houses and smashing them unto one another xD
I also like old spongbob episodes.

But yeah, I love EEnE over most cartoons. Pretty much for the reasons you just listed. But other reasons too. For one, despite it being a show where all the characters have the same motive throughout the entire series, it's characters are so loved, that the fans have created their own phenomenon, anthology and stories of these characters and all of it, I crave so badly. I have another story for you. It's...interesting. It's an EEnE comic here on deviantart. There's 3 of them by the same guy and they progressively get better and better.

I liked it. At first I was like... eh, art is a little shaky and dialogue is corny, but all in all, I thought it was really good!

I love one of the last comic panels in the 3rd one, where all 3 couples kiss and Eddy's brother is all "It's Halloween, not Valentine's Day"

Everyone gets a piece in almost every chapter. Just like the show. Some comics will focus more on one character, then some on another. Like one comic may focus on Eddy, another on Sarah and Jimmy.

This will be our opening comic. It has two chapters. Focuses on Edd and a special guest character. Now, these comics are about the Ed's in HS, so they may have adult themes. Nothing extreme though. PG13 stuff. No drama either. You'll just have to see. Please tell me what you think!
