Description
This was a practice piece using the technique of oil rub for my media class. The technique involves doing a graphite drawing, rubbing oil paint over that and coloring over that with color pencils.Image Copyright © Ricardo Arenas

Hitting your bright brights would add a really great effect to this, though I'm not familiar with the medium. again kudos

The drawing was done a illustration board. Fixative spray was then applied to the surface of the board. With a paper towel, burnt sienna oil paint was rubbing over the drawing. A kneaded eraser was then used to pick up the highlights. Color pencils were then lightly used over the paint. Lastly, which I didn't do was go back in with some gesso to do highlights.
