"You will always be my brother...""And you my sister."
12/12/12. C:
Okay, honestly, I've been waiting for this day for a looooong time. I always loved the repeating dates in the year, and I remember thinking when I was younger, "OH MY GOD 12/12/12 WILL BE THE LAST ONE THIS IS SO SAD I AM COUNTING DOWN THE YEARS TOWARD THAT DAY WHICH WILL BE A HORRIBLE FINAL DAY OF REPEATING NUMBERS"
... Yeeeaahhh.
Well, I read some symbolism of the date and stuff and how people are getting married and giving birth on this day and all that stuff.
But the thing that interested me were the numbers 1 and 2 together, making 12. 1 and 2 represent yang and yin respectively, so I couldn't help drawing these two.
I've had these characters for a loooong time and their designs are still pretty fun to draw. There's a white Jolteon named Riley and an umbreon with white rings named Eclipse, and they're like, half-siblings? I forgot how they're related. But anyway, total mary sues, a fake representation of yin and yang, fought at the beginning of time which damaged the laws of everything somehow creating this thing called the Chaos Eclipse where everything starts dying, blah blah blah.
Riley's prophetic name is Shadow of the Light and Eclipse is Dark Truth of the Chaos Eclipse. Their former names were Oikakeru, which means "to chase", and Darktruth.
I was a strange child who had no idea what she was doing. I am so sorry if that explanation makes no sense. |D;
And I honestly can't remember who's yin and who's yang...? Whelp.
I think they stop fighting eventually, get over themselves, and try to be friends and family as they should, so that helps their mental and emotional bond.
They look reeeeaaalllyyy close together, because they're meant to be embracing slightly.
And the jagged lineart that separates them is convenient, because it implies slightly that they're separated despite being so physically and mentally close. Like something that can never actually mend in the end. (This is the 'line' I'm talking about, in case it's hard to see: [link] )
